A plan for today. A better tomorrow.

Pensions, savings, investments, tax and what you leave behind. A financial plan pulls it all together so your money works for the life you actually want, not just the next mortgage.

££££

What it covers.

Financial planning looks at the whole picture, not one product. These are the four areas we usually talk about.

Retirement & pensions

How much you'll need, whether you're on track, and what to do with old workplace pensions you've lost track of.

Saving & investing

Making your savings work harder, from ISAs to longer-term investments, at a level of risk you're comfortable with.

Tax-efficient planning

Using the allowances you're entitled to, like your ISA and pension allowances, so less of your money goes in tax.

Inheritance & estate

Making sure what you've built goes to the people you choose, as tax-efficiently as possible.

How it works.

1A free first chat

We get to know you, what you've got and what you want. No cost and no obligation.

2Your full picture

We gather the details of your pensions, savings, investments and plans, so nothing is missed.

3Your written plan

You get clear recommendations in plain English. Any fee is agreed with you up front, before any work starts.

4Regular reviews

Life changes and so do the rules. We review your plan with you so it keeps up.

Worth knowing.

£325,000

The inheritance tax nil-rate band each person has. It's frozen until April 2030.

£175,000

The extra residence nil-rate band when your home passes to your children or grandchildren.

6 April 2027

From this date, most unused pension pots are due to count towards your estate for inheritance tax.

Married couples and civil partners can pass unused allowances to each other, so a couple could leave up to £1 million free of inheritance tax. Pension changes from April 2027 mean many families should look at their plans again.

Your questions.

01Do you charge for financial planning?Yes. Unlike our mortgage advice, financial planning has a fee.Read more

The first chat is free. If you want to go ahead, we explain exactly what the fee is and what you get for it before any work starts, so there are no surprises.

02I've got a few old workplace pensions. Can you help?Yes. That's one of the most common things we look at.Read more

We can track them down, look at the charges and benefits of each, and tell you whether it makes sense to combine them. Some older pensions have valuable guarantees, so it isn't always right to move them, and we'll tell you if that's the case.

03How do the April 2027 pension changes affect me?Unused pension money is due to count towards your estate for inheritance tax.Read more

Until now, most pensions have sat outside your estate. From 6 April 2027, unused pension funds and most death benefits are expected to be included. If your estate is near or above the thresholds, it's worth reviewing your plans, your will and who you've nominated on your pensions.

04Is it only for people with lots of money? No. Planning matters most when every pound has to count.Read more

Whether you're starting a pension, saving for a house deposit or thinking about retirement, a plan helps you make the most of what you have.

Please read: The value of investments, and the income from them, can go down as well as up, and you may get back less than you put in. Tax rules can change, and their effect depends on your circumstances. The Financial Conduct Authority does not regulate will writing, trusts and some forms of tax and estate planning.
